OK I’ve had enough, let’s stop our bickering and whining folks and let’s get to solving the more important issues at hand. Nothing gets me madder than all this constant disintegration of our lives here on earth. We are only here a very short time and whether we are picking on this class of person, or another – it just isn’t worth the time or aggravation (by the way if you made a mistake 30 years ago, it’s time to forgive and move on). Let’s work on making this place we live a better place for as many as we can.
I like the premise of “Star Trek”, everyone is equal and all are working toward equality for all. Remember the one where the guy was black on the left side and white on the right side the and the other was black on the right side and white on the left side. It showed the hypocrisy of the entire race point anyway. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the Constitution spelled it out “all men are created equal” – period! The United States is a great place, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Why do we continue to beat ourselves up, often focusing our attention on hurting each other?
Anyway to my point, why can’t we focus in on the really important things like solving Malaria or Dengue Fever or Stop Dengue or for that matter any of the known diseases? So tell me what is your opinion, why can’t we all get along (Rodney King said it Best)?

Well said, my friend. We need to shut down the race baiters whose only job is to keep the flames of race burning. Not an easy task, but can be done, one person at a time.
Wow. That’s a live wire but I know where your perspective is – nice Star Trek reference if you like the show or not. Sadly that episode is still relevant decades later. The media is doing a horrible job of covering these important and sensitive stories and aren’t covering a lot of other stories equally newsworthy – and many more positive. Absolutely agree there are other things that are important and what if an inclusive effort was made to solve them with people of all different races, religions, etc. Our current military seems to be doing a better job respecting race than the society at large and hopefully enough light has been shed to increase awareness on remaining areas that need improving within the military community. There is definitely more effort needed to bring people together instead of finding tragic stories and making them the spotlight without more of a meaningful conversation on how to heal the real wounds. We’re a better country than that and deserve better from the media and each other. Agree with the other comment – this change happens one person at a time – and while things have gotten better there is a lot of work still to do.
It is just a shame that we can’t get beyond the pettiness of some. We have to work at it together, thanks for the comments.
