Science is crazy. Peter Parker was bit by a spider, and he had ten times the power as before.
I heard a radio show on NPR about newly discovered properties of web, that it gets hard, and then flexible, and then hard again right before it snaps, the more you gradually increase the pressure on it, and they understand the molecular structure that causes that. Interesting how some of our sturdiest ideas for technology and structure building came from nature first.

My friends and I once got attacked by bed bugs in the back of a movie theater. The guy who got bit the worst told me where he felt itchy and irritated and it matched with tears and holes in the chair he was seated in. We hitailed it home. each of us put our clothes in a plastic bag outside and threw them straight in the drier. Any bed bugs in the car must have been killed in the summer sun. God bless heat, we didn't have any problems after that.

These guys are just nasty if nothing else. A family in a badly infested apartment will have them climbing up the dining table legs and on the nearby walls. Its disgusting. Poor folks were forced to live there when their house was foreclosed. You can't help but pity that.

One thing that the blog didn't mention, is that even though the many Arizona scorpions all look alike, the bark scorpion can be told apart from at least most the others by the way it both climbs vertical surfaces and that it curls up its tail and lays it flat and sideways against the surface it is on, instead of holding it curled up high above its body. You see those characteristics, then you are seeing the scorpion that has the life threatening potential.

Rattlesnakes are much more dangerous to a person's immediate life and limb than a rat. Rats are more dangerous to physical property in the short sight, and also more dangerous to health in the long haul. I'd be much more scared to approach just a single rattler than a rat.

This is why its important to make sure you have removed any pests before you seal up your house. or else they will become trapped and will die in walls, attics, or crawl places.
