Even a little water can cause a problem

No fungus among us, why yes there is. That little bit of water can cause a few problems if not caught in time. Notice the wood splitting and since there is enough moisture the fungus can grow. Water will take the path of least resistance, so always conduct a thorough investigation if you notice something like wood damage or wood splitting. As the water meets the ground it might also continue to wash away any termiticide that was there. So termites might be on the way next.

Have you ever tried DIY for German Roaches?

The biggest issue I have with DIY (Do It Yourself) pest control is that most people don’t understand bugs. If you have the knowledge then you can deal with the pest. Same reason I don’t replace my own brakes on my vehicle. I don’t have a clue and frankly I don’t want to know. But let me tell you, I know bugs.

You know those cockroach stations that you just throw into the kitchen or bathroom cabinet, they might work if you get them close enough. But most people just toss them into the cabinet and that isn’t very helpful. Yes some roaches will find the stuff but if you place them near the source, it will work better.

So how would you control these roaches if the bait wasn’t close by, it’s far easier to just call a Pest Management Professional. 480-831-9328

Why a little fungus can cause serious issues?

Water will find the path of least resistance and often times can cause more and more issues with a home. Let’s imagine that a chimney at the roofline is not sealed correctly and water makes it way to the ground. This water goes through the termiticide and eventually the termiticide is completely gone. The termites gain access into your home and more damage continues. So I would say that this is something we all need to consider when doing a quarterly inspection of our homes.

If you spot a water issue, figure it out and repair it ASAP or if you don’t want to just keep my phone number handy for the termite work that may be coming your way – 480-831-9328.

Have you ever seen Termite drop tubes?

This was just a cool shot, termite drop tube inside the bathroom coming down a window area.

Arizona termites doing their thing.
