The weather has made it’s move to the HOT zone and this means that the wildlife will also be looking for food and a little shade.  Pocket Gophers “Botta’s Pocket Gopher” are interesting little creatures intent upon eating the roots of your plants and given enough time will completely decimate your entire yard. Pocket gophers live in a burrow system that can cover an area that is 200 to 2,000 square feet. Gophers don’t hibernate and are active year-round, although you might not see any fresh mounding. They also can be active at all hours of the day and can gnaw on any pipe you may have under ground. So it’s probably best to keep them at bay, I mentioned in an earlier blog about a great tool we use to help manage them (link here).
