Gilbert Arizona Pest Control – Blog marketing – Social Media

Gilbert Arizona Pest Control – Blog marketing – Social Media, ProBest Pest Management

Yesterdays bug was the Arizona Brown Spider—–

I remember way back when – when the only options available for marketing was the phone book, OK maybe the newspaper as well. Some of this cost BIG bucks, I think I remember a large company way back in the early 1990’s paying about $12,000 a month. If you are a small business like ProBest Pest Management you know that this is something that is way out of the reach of most of us.

I also think that today we are able to reach out and actually talk to individuals by way of blogs, Twitter and Facebook. Most of these social media opportunities are free, well in a way you still have to spend the time to be involved and interact. My favorite is blogging, I get to share what I know in a format hopefully enjoyed by the readers in a method available 24/7/365 and free. I can discuss what is happening in Arizona but might also affect someone in Georgia, case point West Nile Virus to the more recent invasion of Bed Bugs. I watched the Bed Bug invasion start in New York and spread across the U.S. at an alarming rate, travel/vacations all push the problem across the U.S.

I love that we can now get up-to-date emails and information at the speed of 4G, had to say that. You can subscribe to whatever you want, from Mommy bloggers to whatever hobby you may be interested in – and get that information when and where you want it – to your phone, Ipad or email boxes. So maybe it’s only the beginning of how we receive information and in what manner – so hang on tight……..

Is Your Pest Management Company Licensed?

ProBest Pest Management

Business License OPM #8411

Qualifying Party OPM #8351

Several years ago there was debate over some work being done by someone not licensed by the Office of Pest Management, and while I applaud this persons zeal to make a buck it does worry me about liability. What would happen if that person accidentally fell off your roof or got bitten by your pet dog. Here at ProBest that is what is called the cost of doing business – insurance, hopefully none of us needs it but accidents do happen. The reason we charge what we charge is for all those things we must have, auto insurance, liability, phones, vehicles and gas just to name a few. Yes it might be cheaper going with the kid around the corner but what if something happens – is it you that will pay? Does your pest control company know what they are doing? Have they been around – ProBest has since 1981. Are they QualityPro? Check out the reviews at Kudzu. Just a few things to think about…

Study: Cell phone radiation contributing to decline of bee population

Everyone is quick to jump on the bandwagon or set blame immediately when something like this happens. I think we all need to take a huge breath and relax for a moment and think about what we can do as individuals to either help or come up with an idea. Whether its Global warming (I’m still not convinced), to cell phones interupting or having a negative impact on honeybees or from something unknown happening to bats. I was frankly really surprised everyone wasn’t  talking about banning pesticides – because we all know that is what is killing everything! NOT!

Over the last few blogs I have talked about bats, bees and the ridicules notion that we should ban rodenticides. I think we must use caution as we apply pesticides but to do away with them is irresponsible. Malaria continues to kill 1 million people a year, West Nile Virus and other diseases would spread like wildfire without the use of pesticides to keep pests at check. Read the entire story here about cell phone radiation and the honeybees. Remember if all the bees die – we might as well, they pollinate up to 90% of all the food in the world.

Go Bees!!!!      By the way DON”T BEE MAD AT ME!

National Cell Phone Recycling Week April 5th – 11th, 2010 – Drop off cell phones at ProBest Pest Management.

National Cell Phone Recycling Week is the perfect time to jumpstart your cell phone recycling program

According to the EPA, if Americans recycled the approximately 130 million cell phones that are disposed of annually, enough energy would be saved to power more than 24,000 homes for a year. Currently, only about 10 percent of cell phones are recycled, which means there are millions of phones available for recycling!

We send the phones to an agency who then sends us money which we donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Arizona. ProBest has kept approximately 300 phones out of the landfills and donated several hundreds of dollars to charity in cooperation with you! Thanks
