The secret ingredient(s)

ContraPest has two active ingredients: 4-vinylcyclohexene diepoxide (VCD) and triptolide.

Triptolide, derived from the thunder god vine Tripterygium wilfordii, has been used in traditional Chinese medicines and other over-the-counter supplements. Triptolide affects the reproductive capacity of both male and female rats. VCD is an occupational chemical that selectively destroys ovarian follicles in rats.
