Great information on Mothballs.

I’ve always been worried when I hear stories about people throwing them into attics or crawlspaces.

This product can be dangerous and shouldn’t be used without reading and following the label and sds.

Have you made any New Year’s resolutions?

Maybe one you can add this year would be to make your home pest free.

  1. Home-seal your home.
  2. Clean up the weeds and stuff around the home.
  3. Check your attic before returning all that Christmas stuff.
  4. Hire a professional pest management company.Picture8

Even though this comes from Texas I thought the video was worth your read or watch.

One of my favorite shows – Shark Tank

So the other day I was watching “Shark Tank” and was really intrigued with a young eco-entrepreneur Henry J. Miller (his words). Check out his Honey with spices Webpage and FaceBook page or his Twitter page.

I understand the role of honeybees and I understand the risk they pose to the general public especially in the South. We sell honey in our little store and I think this idea from Henry is great – so please visit his site and if you can why don’t you give his honey a try.

Twas the night before Christmas and not a creature was stirring

Oh yes they are, and we all need to be aware they are always out there and wanting into our cozy warm homes. What can you do to keep them out?

  1. Seal all holes coming into your home.
  2. Repair screens.
  3. Install door sweeps.
  4. Install garage door seals.
  5. Close flue dampers or at least check them.
  6. Pay attention to wiring around homes, rodents need to keep their teeth from growing to long.
  7. Seal weep holes and check attic often.
  8. When brining stuff down from attic, open boxes outside – prevents anything from getting loose within the house.
