BMP – Best Management Practices

BMP – Best Management Practices

Pest Control, Termite or Weed treatment

BMP’s or Best Management Practices.

NPMA or the National Pest Management Association sets the standard for these practices.

  1. Always deal with a qualified and licensed company.
  2. Evaluate pest companies especially those members of NPMA and State AZPPO (Arizona Pest Professional Organization).
  3. Experience.
  4. Consider QualityPro companies.
  5. Ask friends, family and neighbors.
  6. Get bids.
  7. Don’t rush your decision, seek out family and other people who may have dealt with this issue.
  8. Understand any paperwork.
  9. Do they have current liability insurance.
  10. Examine and understand the guarantee.
  11. Buy VALUE not PRICE.
  12. You can call and seek opinions from AZ Office of Pest Management www.azda.gov

These of course are suggestions and you can add additional items relative to your issues. It is always wise to consider input from friends, families and neighbors. Don’t always trust stuff you find on the internet – half the time that stuff is just false or fake news. I think the biggest issue with me is price versus value, price can reflect low cost chemical, shoddy work and improper methods of treatment. Check with the Better Business Bureau, many companies are accredited through them – such as ProBest Pest Management 602-249-7378.

It’s not always about the Scorpions, how about visiting Arizona? Phoenix.

Phoenix is the capital, and largest city, within the state of Arizona. With 1.5 million people, Phoenix is the most populous state capital in the United States, as well as the sixth most populous city nationwide.

Phoenix is surrounded by many smaller little cities and each has a unique and quaint feeling such as Gilbert where my office is located. There are numerous day trip ideas and many are just plain fun in the sun.

Did you know this about Phoenix?

  1. There are lots of golf courses if you’re into that.
  2. There are more boats in Arizona than any other state.
  3. We have a botanical garden, science center and Japanese Friendship garden, art museums and lots of hiking trails with and without mountains.

So how about a visit?

Maybe someone could explain this 3rd picture?

Maybe someone could explain this 3rd picture?

1st picture – beehive fell from wall, maybe is was so HOT it melted – OK I’m teasing but it did fall.

2nd picture – beehive wasn’t attached to tree limb but wall.

3rd picture – this was no where close to the wall but the bees were just settling there – hot asphalt somewhat in the shade under the tree, was it a swarm. They would move if I touched them with something like a stick but wouldn’t fly away. I thought maybe honey was dripping – no hive above, I thought maybe the Queen landed there – no I looked and couldn’t find her. Any ideas????????????????

Look I’m not the brightest bulb in the store but every once in awhile I think I have some good ideas. You all know about the ProBest Post Office and hopefully you have been by to see our collection of live bug/reptiles for the children to visit while the parents are in the Post Office. So it should come as no big shock that I’m always thinking about new ways of increasing business either by networking or by coming up with those weird ideas.

So stop by and visit, use our little U.S. Post Office (quick, less lines and friendly service) always, or maybe you have a bug problem and need that critter identified (Dr. Bug) might be in and he can talk to you about that little pests (husbands or wives excluded).

Or maybe you have an idea that may spark some interest – you never know. Give it a try at ProBest Pest Management 425 W. Guadalupe Road #110, Gilbert, AZ 85233 602-249-7378 or 623-414-0176
