Could your neighbors give you the bugs?

Could your neighbors give you the bugs?

What do you know about your neighbors? Do they visit you, do their children come and play at your house? Do you exchange things, do you borrow luggage? Do their children bring toys over, including stuffed bears or animals? Do their animals visit your home? Are you expecting guest who may spend a few days at your home?

All these questions seem somewhat benign but are they really? ProBest has seen some really bizarre ways that Bed Bugs are traveling these days. Spring break may be the perfect chance for these little blood suckers to get their travelin on. By the way it’s not just Bed Bugs but fleas, ticks, parasites of all sorts. No sense panicking but we just want you to be prepared and contemplate the options and consequence of a visit.

Read this survey – Bugs without Borders conducted by National Pest Management Association (NPMA) and University of Kentucky – Where are Bed Bugs found these days?

What nonsense? Just trying to be Patriotic!

Yesterday was the 100th Centennial of Arizona and ProBest decided to offer FREE CAKE to our customers coming to our Contract U.S. Post Office, we also decided to purchase shirts with the logo and to decorate the front office and put balloons on our signs offering FREE CAKE.

This is the first time ever that we put up balloons and this just strikes me funny, in this economy you would think that the City would encourage business (we do sell stuff in our DIY store) and which we also include sales tax. Mr. Hall walked in and handed the note and said take the balloons down, he didn’t ask any questions just the note and a brochure on the law.

I don’t want to create any BIG issues here but PLEEEEEEEASE!

Right here in Tempe – you’re not going to believe it…

Right here in Tempe – you’re not going to believe it…

I run into stories every once in awhile that are just to good not to post, this first story (google alerts spiders) took me to this

Male spiders of one species lose their genitals after sex to increase sperm count in females

It was just funny that in the same google alert was this story from Tempe where a young man was stealing spiders and putting them in his pants

Man caught stuffing stolen spiders in his pants

Now I’m probably guessing he hasn’t read the article above, but it was funny that they appeared in the same alert. Watch where you put things or something may happen that won’t “Make Your Day”!

30 days to nothing

30 days to nothing, the saga of a mouse…

30 days to nothing, the saga of a mouse…

30 days to nothing-  OK to be candid with you I almost decided not to publish this dribble! Really the entire story just makes me sick and not because of the mouse but    what some people will do to cash in on a lawsuit. Remember that lady with the McDonald’s coffee years back, she put the coffee cup between her legs and it spilled and burned her. Well my point is you can’t fix stupid, I mentioned that often here but for God’s sake you know its HOT and you put it between your legs – please!!!

So as the story goes “Mountain Dew Can Dissolve a Mouse“, I think most of us have heard of Pepsi or Coke and how it can dissolve a penny. So grow and realize that most of these beverages are made of acidic materials. I drink Mountain Dew and will continue to because I like it and just because some guy thought he could pull a fast one doesn’t stop me from enjoying a Dew. Now I’m not an expert in the bottling industry but having seen some shows, bottles (if they even use them anymore) are washed out, upside down, rinsed and thoroughly disinfected and filled and closed with minutes, cans and plastic bottles are new even if recycled. I don’t think there is any opportunity for anything the size of a mouse to get into a production line these days.

So anyway don’t believe everything you hear, don’t worry about PepsiCo or Coca Cola (Coke). Read my recent home seal about Food Safety.

Here is another take on the Mouse versus the Dew from EHS Eco-Sensitive Pest Solutions from NorthEast USA.
