What kind of service is right for you?

What kind of service is right for you?

I often think about service and what is really necessay to control the pests in and around our homes. Every home is different and with that in mind every treatment is or could be different. So what is right for you Monthly, Every other Month or Quarterly? So here are a few questions with this in mind:

  • What is the pest pressure?
  • What time of year does the pressure increase?
  • What kind of pests are you encountering, scorpions?
  • Do you water by drip irrigation or flood irrigation?
  • Scorpion activity is different from cricket activity, why does that matter?

We try to customize each visit with those questions in mind, sometimes it is essential to change pesticide formulations and or change frequency but we will always discuss options with you.

SERVICE MATTERS!

Time for a change?

clock

Is it time for a change with your Pest Control company, do they answer calls promptly and do they provide exceptional customer service? If they don’t I think it is time for a change. What should they provide you for pest control?

  • Well they should be able to get rid of the bugs. A few years back I just happened to be at a house for a termite inspection refinance and we got talking about bugs. She complained about American Cockroaches getting into the kitchen, as I did my inspection I brought along my bellows duster and just started dusting wall voids and the block wall voids. Surprise – the roaches came out in droves, they were everywhere. I took that account away from another pest company that day, just because I paid attention to her complaint.
  • Are they members of their local, state and national pest management association.  Arizona Professional Pest Organization (AZPPO), National Pest Management Association (NPMA) and are they QualityPro?
  • Does your Pest Company listen to you, do they answer your calls promptly and do they return calls promptly?
  • It’s the year of Social Media, do they have reviews from customers just like yourself?

Do you know why sprays don’t always work on ants?

Do you know why sprays don’t always work on ants?

What you see isn’t anything compared to what is below the surface. So if you decide to spray, you will only kill the ones in direct contact with the pesticide.  It is important to kill the Queen ant, when she is dead you will have accomplished the task at hand. Death to the entire colony.

My favorite for this job is TerroPCO, which we carry at our office.

Words cannot describe some of these shows…

Words cannot describe some of these shows…

Entertainment is entertainment! Not so, you say! Well how about entertainment is in the eye of the beholder? Some of these shows just border on absurd and I realize that the show must be entertaining but really!

I guess what amazes me the most is that people are willing to go on television and spread their dirty laundry in public. I just couldn’t do it, not for any price – sorry. Shows like “Strange Addiction“, “Addicted“, “Hoarders“, “Billy the Exterminator“, “Call of the Wildman” and “Honey Boo Boo” concern me and prove to me either that people are willing to do anything for money or just don’t care what people may be thinking about them. To me these shows are reminiscent of “Jerry Springer” genre and only prove that we will demoralize our culture to absurd-om.

In my opinion these shows are not entertaining, these shows are ridiculing and mean spirited to the so called stars.. I prefer to watch shows that are informative and educational rather than shows that debase their stars…

Come on – what say you? Comments… (by the way I was called by two of the shows in this genre and chose not to participate).

Termite Warranty or Guarantee…

Termite Warranty or Guarantee… to renew or not to renew?

You just had termite work done at your home and it cost X amount of dollars, they also mentioned that you could renew the policy in a year. Well that year has gone by and you can’t make up your mind, what to do? Do you renew or take the chance?

Well here is my opinion – if you live in the south I would probably renew it. Where there is water and the temperature is warm most of the year there are going to be active termites and bugs. I also believe that it isn’t always so easy to remind ourselves to look for and keep up with things around our homes. Yes its easy to say I’ll remember, or my husband or wife will take care of it. But more often than I can count someone will come into our office and say – just take care of it, we can’t remember or it just escapes our attention.

So wouldn’t it be easy enough to just let ProBest Pest Management handle it for you? Do you have a warranty from someone that just doesn’t care about service? Do you have issues with talking to the right person at the termite company or have you lost confidence with them? Then make that call or send us a contact https://callprobest.com/contact or call us 480-831-9328.

Feedback by clients or customers!

Feedback by clients or customers!

I was recently asked by my Chemical Distributor (Univar) for my opinion, they actually flew me to Dallas, TX and conducted a feedback session for two days for input related to my experiences with their company –  field and inside sales department. I participated with 16 other members from across the US and I must tell you it was an informative and eye opening experience. I must hand it to management – this was a great idea and I hope enlightening for them as well. We talked about expectations of online services, field and inside sales and how they could make the experience easier and better for us.

So this got me to thinking about how ProBest Pest Management can seek out those experiences from our customers. We do gage some of our work from review sites like Kudzu.com and MerchantCircle.com and Manta right on our home seal site. You can always send us an email ProBest Pest Management – contact us. Did you know that we have a VIP page just for our loyal customers?

Who’s Number 1 in Pest Management in Arizona?

Who’s Number 1 in Pest Management in Arizona?

Have you ever heard this saying? “Our business – any business – is People”

Each and every day we encounter people, we deal with bosses, employee’s and clients. Each and every day our moods shape our decisions of that day. Sometimes in pest control we have to deal with people that are upset or on edge because they hate bugs. Maybe they are upset at having to spend money to deal with termites or bed bugs. I also really like the saying “If you don’t take care of your customers, your competition will”.

Customer service is essential to every company and we cannot live without the highest caliber of this service.

So is it ProBest Pest Management, many Kudzu followers think so, how about you?

So what’s on your mind?

So what’s on your mind?

So I was thinking the other day that we should discuss a few Arizona Department of Agriculture – Office of Pest Management terms:

“Pest” means a vertebrate or invertebrate insect, bird, mammal, organism, or a weed or plant pathogen that is in an undesirable location. I bet you really didn’t think a weed was a pest, did you? I’m sure we have called a few people we might know – “a pest”? I’m equally convinced that all politicians are pests, the necessary evil.

“Pesticide,” as defined in A.R.S. § 32-2301, includes an insecticide, fungicide, rodenticide, termiticide, fumigant, larvacide, adulticide, herbicide, avicide, or molluscicide.

So just a few terms to get you thinking what pest control or pest management is all about.

Carpenter Ants!

Carpenter Ants!

Can you identify the life-cycle present in this picture? Well I think I see larva, pupa and adults, I don’t see any eggs. I was at a cabin in New Mexico and spotted these Carpenter Ants under a piece of wood. The next day they had decided to move on and I couldn’t locate them. These are officially my nemesis – in Florida they caused me the most aggravation. They can enter homes in a variety of sneaky ways, including telephone or cable lines.  But outside they are a large ant and will excavate wood to make a home.
